General Information

The Society

The Harrogate Film Society was established in 1955 and continues to show entertaining and unusual films from all over the world. The society is run by a group of enthusiasts in an informal, welcoming atmosphere.   All films are presented using the latest digital technology, including digital surround sound.   Harrogate Film Society is a member of the British Federation of Film Societies (BFFS) and The British Film Institute. The society acknowledges the support of the BFFS and the Yorkshire Branch of the BFFS.


Screening Times and Prices

The normal screening time is 7.45pm on Monday evenings. Any exceptions are clearly marked on the programme..

Where to find us

Our venue for all screenings is the Sixth Form auditorium (the Forum) at Harrogate Grammar School.

There is an AGM on the night of the final film of the season, immediately before the screening, which all members are welcome to attend. The agenda is available here.
